Welcome to GanttGrid! This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Gantt chart application. Our goal is to be transparent and collect only the minimum information necessary for the application to function.

1. Information We Collect

• Email Address: We collect the email address you provide during the login process.
• Login Timestamps: When you log in, our server automatically records the time of your login associated with your email address. This is stored securely in our database (Replit Database).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Your email address is used solely to verify your identity and grant you access to the GanttGrid application based on our list of authorized users.
• Security & Monitoring: Login timestamps are used for security purposes, monitoring application usage, and troubleshooting technical issues.

3. Data Storage

• Gantt Chart Data (Projects, Tasks, etc.): All the data you create within the Gantt chart itself (project details, task names, dates, notes, dependencies, risks, etc.) is stored locally in your web browser's localStorage. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You control this data directly within your browser. Clearing your browser's storage will remove this data.
• Login Information: Your email address and login timestamps are stored securely on our server infrastructure (hosted via Replit and using Replit Database) for the purposes mentioned above.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your email address or login information with any third parties for any purpose.

5. Email Communication

We will not send you any emails, promotional or otherwise, using the email address you provide for login.

6. Data Security

We use standard security measures, such as HTTPS for encrypted communication and secure session management, to protect the information transmitted to our server (your email during login). However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Data stored in your browser's localStorage is subject to the security of your own device and browser.

7. Data Retention

• Login Session: Your login session is active until you log out or close your browser session (depending on session settings).
• Login Logs: Login timestamps associated with your email are retained on our server as needed for security and operational purposes.
• Gantt Chart Data (localStorage): This data remains in your browser until you manually clear your browser's cache and site data.

8. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies to manage your login state while you are using the application. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Since your Gantt chart data is stored locally, you manage it directly through your browser. If you have questions about your login information stored on our server, please contact us.
